Trump sees himself as the ultimate businessman and to whom is his main responsibility and go hang everything else. Fortunately the one good thing which may come out of this is that he will be held responsible and accountable for the way he has run his country through this.
And the U.K. is becoming a socialist country with the Tories doing things to protect the population that Corbyn would never have considered. And if Starmer becomes leader of the Labour Party perhaps we might eventually see the restoration of the liberal consensus.
And I agree with Caleb, we need leaders like Blair and Brown, Obama and Clinton, rather than the present jokers. And perhaps a Roosevelt to help reconstruct when we eventually see daylight.
And reluctantly I must disagree with Meatpie on the issue of immigration. One thing we have to accept is that we live in a global world and whatever we do in one country impinges on many others. Britainās strength is founded on immigration through the ages: the Hugenots, the Jews, the African Asians in particular perhaps. America the same? Perhaps if he came to Britain he might appreciate the benefits of living here and accepting our core values rather than sniping from afar. One day when this is all over give it a try mate

No plans to move to the UK lindier but thanks for the invite anyway. I see no benefits of living in a society that can't obey a simple quarantine. Hope in the next couple of days the situation in your country improves and the virus doesn't spread. I have many friends in the UK including close ones we grew up together would totally hate to see them suffer needlessly.

I strongly believe it is a crime to let this deadly pathogen spread freely in the USA and cause unnecessary suffering, pain and death to ordinary Americans and even kids. Kids are not immune against this virus reports are coming in of severe cases in kids as well.
I know all of us feel strongly about this we are just having a discussion here I am not attacking anyone or any nation. People in my country are dying too it makes me sick to watch the news.

As I said I meant no offence of course USA is much more. The news are getting on my nerves lately so I've decided to stop reading watching or listening to any news after 6pm, only CDG.
I noticed I am so confused and angry at times just from watching the news I lash out at other people for no good reason...then regret it of course.
Some of our most prominent politicans have completely lost control of their nerves on TV, radio, police officers are crying, women are singing prayers. It's utter chaos here.

No one will blame you for your anger, itās something many of us feel, particularly towards those jokers Johnson and trump. And no, I didnāt vote for him or Corbyn either for that matter.
But if you want a reliable source of news could I suggest the BBC radio world service. it has the advantage of being totally independent of government and whatever you think about the UK the BBC is an internationally trusted treasure.

At the time being everything looks bleak and no one can see an end to the problems of the Coronavirus. But although the death of one person is a tragedy it is also fair to say that most recover from it or seem to have a natural immunity and never get it. And our scientists are trying to develop a vaccine which might protect us in the future. It would be nice to think that it will be altruistically provided to all freely although I suspect that the usual profiteers will ensure that thatās not so particularly if Trump and his ilk is involved.
But what I must also say is that the world has been here before. Europe recovered from the Plague in the Middle Ages and one could say that the end of the feudal system benefitted humanity. It recovered from the two world wars And the last seventy years have seen the greatest advances in world prosperity, science and medicine primarily in the first world acceptably but also in the developing world. If our grandparents could see how much better our lives are than theirs they would be astonished. And we will recover from Coronavirus and the world will develop further and greater and hopefully fairer. The current problems will be merely a blip I hope.
Okay many will see me as unduly optimistic. Iāve probably been shielded from the worst in the past, I'm middle class, benefitted from a free university education, had a good career and never had to worry about putting food on the table for my family. Life for me has been good and I hope will continue to be so for many years. Others have not been so lucky I know. But I hope that my children, grandchildren and their descendants will have as good and enjoyable life as I have had whatever happens in the immediate future. And I hope the same for all my friends on this site and every one else.
And finally Meatpie. Iām not sure what problems you face as regards your site sources but problems tend to resolve themselves and I have little doubt that once the immediate issues have been resolved the site will bounce back stronger than before.

Please explain me, I dont understand. Morgues are not under lockdown, I doubt that forensic doctors got vacacions for two or three months, their work are requirable always - people didnt stop to die. So what is the problem with the sources? Entire hospitals and morgues have been shut down and placed under strict quarantine. Even in Moscow some of the big morgues were shut and the corpses directed to others who are still working.
Similar situaiton in other countries. Some of our sources do not directly take part in autopsies but have access to the computers where material is stored but they too have been told to work from home.
Another big problem for us is that due to personal stress most of our sources who are still working have decided to temporarily stop leaking material.
I assure you we are working and actively purse all possible ways to resume our operations and we hope for better developments in the next weeks.
For now it is only bad news every day from everywhere, from every country. We are completely crushed I am not happy with how things are going at all. Some countries have been hit very hard.
