Refugees at the camp broke the windows and set fire to the building

Dozens of people including police were injured tonight after riots erupted at Harmanli regufee camp in Bulgaria.

Refugees threw stones at police, broke windows and set the building on fire which promted police to storm the camp.

Photos have been posted on social media showing refugees beaten up by police.

he Harmanli camp, which is the largest in the country, houses some 3,000 people, mostly from Afghanistan.

Some police officers are still recovering in hospital. The camp has been shut down and all violent refugees were moved to a high security camp near the border with Turkey.
