The Duke of Edinburgh, 99 has made a remarkable recovery and discharged from hospital a little over a fortnight ago following a month-long stay for heart surgery and treatment for an infection.

Her Majesty is delighted to have the Duke of Edinburgh at home and he is in good spirits having returned from hospital to continue his recovery.

The Queen, who is Supreme Governor of the Church of England, has chosen to observe the Easter period privately, despite many churches being open and the easing of lockdown restrictions.

The 94-year-old decided against making a public appearance on Easter Sunday, the holiest day in the Christian calendar, for fear of attracting crowds who would be desperate to see her.

I can't believe the Duke's funeral is today just days after I posted this thread. RIP handsome. He cared about nature and the prince once said: ''If nature doesn't survive, neither will man.”
