A source close to the family confirmed to the Lusa agency that the actor died at dawn, at home, in the municipality of Cascais.

Luís Filipe Duarte Ferreira da Silva was born in summer 1973, in Angola. He leaves a daughter, Antónia, aged eight, as a result of her relationship with actress Spanish Nuria Mention.
He graduated from the Lisbon School of Theater and Cinema and the Institute for Research and Theatrical Creation. He became one of the most illustrious faces of national fiction, with participation in major productions such as the series ‘Ecuador’ [2008], gives TVI, and the film ‘Variations’ [2019]. His most recent work was TV Globo’s soap opera ‘Amor de Mãe’, shown on SIC.
Filipe Duarte’s most recent appearances in cinema came with ‘Variações’ [2019], in which he played the founder of the disco Trumps, and ‘Mosquito’ [2020], in which a military man plays in Africa, during the First World War.
