The relatives of a deceased young man denounce that the body of their loved one was manipulated outside the law and suspect that there is a mafia of organ traffickers that would be entrenched in the Lima Morgue. The mother of the family, named Olga Martel, states that when she picked up her son's body at the morgue, it was delivered to her without corneas.

Last Friday morning, the body of Alejandro Soto, 35, entered the morgue for an autopsy that certified pancreatic hemorrhage, because he was going through a moment of family depression and decided to ingest a substance that took his life.

According to the victim's brother, when he opened the body's eyes, only the white part of them was there and his green corneas were gone. What the affected relatives point out is that Alejandro Soto's DNI did not indicate that he was an organ donor and he did not authorize Reniec during his lifetime to have an organ or tissue removed after he died.

It should be noted that on the black market, organ traffickers sell them quickly and each cornea is costing up to 15 thousand dollars.

For their part, the morgue officials relied on the General Health Law 26,842, which in its article 110 includes that "a cadaver may have organs and tissues ablated for transplant or graft purposes, without requiring authorization given while alive by the deceased or the consent of his or her family."

It should be noted that this law would no longer be in force since one of June 2016 and promulgated in the Diario El Peruano, considers that the donation of organs and tissues can be carried out only if the donor himself states so before dying on his identity document. or he does so by means of a sworn declaration.

The relatives are very indignant since the law would have been broken by the forensic medical team at the morgue, since all the evidence indicates that their loved one, while alive, never decided to donate his organs.

As additional information, we can point out that Peru, as well as Colombia, Argentina and Mexico, are on the list of the 20 countries in Latin America that are chosen by the organ trafficking mafias, since voluntary donation is not mandatory, which leads to committing These crimes are punishable by up to 6 years in prison in Peru.

The dead guy.
