New Zealand Actor Francis (Frankie) Mossman has died at the age of 33.






News of the young actor's passing was shared by several LGBTQ websites, including Queer Screen Australia and Stonewall Hotel, on Saturday.

The cause of his death is unknown.


Known as Frankie, Francis Mossman was born in New Zealand, where he made a name for himself on the popular soap opera, Shortland Street, in 2006.

He made the move to Sydney in 2012, and went on to appear in the Starz series Spartacus: Blood and Sand.

Frankie also had a recurring role in The Horizon between 2013 and 2017 and Americans in Oz in 2018.

The performer, who was known to be a big dog lover, had his most recent performance was in the short film, Dis-Connect.
