Mexico Cartel Confrontation Leaves Five Dead Young Men Three Beheaded

After the shooting and massacre some of the corpses were just dumped on the road while the heads of the three beheaded young guys were placed ontop of a car in the Mexican state of Chihuahua a few days ago.

Two rival cartels were fighting for control in the area police said both groups were heavily armed.

Five people have died after a vicious shootout involving two warring Mexican cartels.

The horrifying incident took place on the road that leads from Villa Coronado to Jiménez, Chihuahua, Mexico, at around 3pm on Saturday, February 13.

Several other drivers reported seeing armed subjects in the area of the junction to Iturralde.

After police responded to the scene they discovered the decapitated heads of three of the cartel members placed on the hood of a vehicle.

They also found three cars which had been shot at and had several firearm impacts.

The investigating agents are currently recovering evidence from the area, local media reports.

Those killed are reported to have been part of the Gente Nueva group, the armed wing of the Sinaloa Cartel.

The cartel is under the command of the criminal leader Antonino Leon aka El 300 and operates in the southern part of the state.

It comes following warnings that deadly Mexican cartels are arming up with military-grade weapons from America, smuggled in exchange for drugs.

Drugs have been heading north of the border for decades but the Mexican government is now facing a frightening spate of guns travelling in the other direction.

Devastating arsenals of AK-47s and M-16s are being built by the likes of the CJNG, Jalisco New Generation and Sinaloa cartels as they strengthen their terrifying grip on communities.

According to a new Mexican government study, at least 2.5 million illegal firearms were smuggled into Mexico over the past decade, News4SA reports.

The fatal cycle of illegal imports and exports continues to escalate.

Richard Sanchez, the Assistant Special Agent in Charge of the McAllen district in the Rio Grande, said: "The weapons and the ammunition and guns we're seeing are traded for narcotics, these weapons will be transported into Mexico via the US and in the hopes of obtaining narcotics."​
