The 23-year-old Grishall Disner champion bodybuilder was at Kows Bar when he left his table to use the restroom.
Witnesses reported hearing gunshots before rushing to find Disner in the bathroom with two bullet wounds. The bar was quickly evacuated as police made their way through.
Paramedics pronounced Disner dead at the scene. Initially, there were suggestions that Disner "shot himself," but police are still investigating. Reports suggest that Disner had been "drinking heavily" before heading to the bathroom.
Authorities are said to be reviewing CCTV footage from inside the bar and the surrounding area for potential leads.
Disner had made a name for himself as a prominent bodybuilder and influencer in his hometown. He also used his skills to coach others at his gym, helping them become their best and fittest versions.
In 2023, he won several titles, including Mr. America Jr. and Mr. Mexico Jr.'s victories in the +90kg category. He also won gold that same year in the Absoluto Mr. CDMX Jr. show.
