Joseph, 16, from Old Swan, was stabbed in the heart last week after being chased by a 15-strong gang.
He and two friends were set upon while standing outside Everton’s Shrews- bury House youth club on Monday, October 20.
Two teenage boys were arrested straight after the killing. A 16-year-old youth from Kirkdale, a 20-year-old man from the Vauxhall area, a 19-year-old man from the Kirkdale area and two youths, aged 14 and 15, were also questioned in connection with Joseph’s murder.
They have all been released on bail pending further inquiries.
This week detectives appealed for a teenage cyclist who is believed to have been chased by the killers, to come forward.
The boy was chased from near by the murder scene "a short while" before Joseph was stabbed.
Joseph’s parents Toni and John Lappin also made a public appeal a few hours after their son’s death.
They also have a 14 year-old daughter Bethany and a 10 year-old son Michael.
They urged the families of those responsible to "do the right thing" and come forward.
Mrs Lappin said: "Please understand our grief. Come forward. You have the power to do the right thing.
"We have to make sure that another family does not go through what we are going through."
So sad - but so fapping cute!!!!
