Irish strongman Pa O’Dwyer has died at the age of 40.

O'Dwyer, who is from Co Limerick, held the title of Ireland’s Strongest Man five times. In 2018, he became the first Irishman in 20 years to win the UK’s Strongest Man competition.

Dubbed the ‘Limerick Lion’, tributes are flooding in for the father-of-three, with one stating ‘the world has lost the gentlest of giants’

After growing up working on a farm in Rathkeale, the "Limerick Lion" worked on the roads through his early twenties before turning to weight training. He established himself as one of Europe's top strongmen and won the UK’s Strongest Man competition in 2018.

The dad-of-three went on to grow a huge audience on social media by sharing touching videos, often in support of people struggling with mental health

The news of O'Dwyer's passing was confirmed by Giants Live, who paid an emotional tribute to the hugely-popular athlete.

If I ever get the chance to play with a strongman's corpse like his then I can die a happy man lol.

Well, in recent years many strongmen and bodybuilders have died suddenly. I've included several cases, some of the most famous, in this section, but I've read about many more. And there are quite a few.
Now, with the fitness trend on Instagram and people taking products to get stronger faster, we'll probably see more similar cases for a few years... and maybe one day you'll be lucky enough to "meet" one of them 🍀😉

dude had an OnlyFans
