Cork singer-songwriter Talos died at home after a short illness.

Eoin French, known on stage as Talos, passed away peacefully in his sleep after a short illness on Sunday, August 11 at the age of 37

French had been performing as the electronic artist Talos since 2013.

A message confirmed recorded new music from Talos would be released in the near future.

His first album, 2017′s Wild Alee, was nominated for a Choice Music Prize award. He subsequently released to more records: 2019′s Far Out Dust and 2022′s Dear Chaos.

He frequently played shows across the UK and Europe and was partially based in Iceland. He also performed in supports slots for acts including Bell X1, Bon Iver and Dermot Kennedy.

French first began gigging with the band Hush War Cry while he was in college before he began performing as Talos.

Oh my god I really love his music style and unique voice
 
This is the first time I've heard it, following the news of his death, but the indie style in general, although I don't dislike it, is not for me.
