I'm really, really curious, and I'm asking, why are the bodies in the morgue naked??

Is there a reason to leave the body naked other than washing it clean??

I'm asking this because I'm really, really curious, so please don't take it too bad!! Hah, hah, hah.

Hi,
I'm going to answer you with the obvious, because like you, I used to ask myself this question when I was younger.

The morgue is a place where bodies are stored for autopsies.
Autopsies can be ordered by the courts to find out the reason for death (suicide, murder....) or for insurance companies during a trial for road accidents.

If the bodies are naked, it's to inspect for any wounds or bruises that may be invisible to the naked eye.
For murders where rape is suspected, it's obvious that the body should be completely naked.
Clothes can also be examined in detail, so it is best to remove them from the body.

Never be embarrassed to ask any question on CDG. Or express any opinion or desire. We're a community of kinky guys. Like me. :stroke:

It is not the business of an American morgue to re-dress a body after autopsy. They are shipped nude to the funeral parlor or crematorium. What would be the point of dressing them? In the morgue where I worked they were never covered with sheets either.

Same. In our morgue too no sheets or blankets the corpses are naked at all times.
