Why should I disapprove. It takes all types to make a world and the fact that I am interested in politics is no more a ground for praise than your lesser concern. There are many things you probably have great knowledge of of which I am totally ignorant. What I do know is that I do enjoy occasionally crossing swords with you. You seem a decent guy even if there are things we disagree about.
To be fair my knowledge of American politics is not that great and is probably based on what appears in the relatively liberal morning paper I read. But, as I've indicated elsewhere, Trumps has form over here and I dislike anyone who is a social bigot like Cruz. I'm no real fan of Clinton but see her as the best of a bad bunch. Left to my own devices I would probably have supported Sanders but I guess he never really had a chance against the establishment.

And it is interesting you don't mention the race of the pre med student. Couldn't he be a Muslim, he certainly could if we were talking about Oxford or Cambridge. People understand very little of Syria. The bombings and bloodshed reside only in rebel/ISIS territory and most of the fleeing happened since they realised fighting Assad was a losing battle. The vast majority of Syrian refugees are young men and alone. Intelligence believes, to add insult to injury, most of the refugees arent even Syrians! seeing children in videos holding severed heads and ISIS teaching and showing them to kill it shows that you should be even wary of the families let alone the strapping young men of army age. The violence they've shown to their hosts means they deserve no help at all. Attacking women, destroying property.. These "innocent" (from the very first glance) people you don't even know are showing they could very well be the terrorists themselves and the cause for Syria's destabilisation because lets not forget it started as a rebellious attack against Assad and the likely probability he armed and supported Shia Malitia..
