French rugby player Jordan Michallet, opening half of the Rouen Normandie Rugby club, died on Tuesday January 18 a-t-on appris. He was only 29 years old. It was the club that announced his tragic death in a short message posted on its Facebook account. “The Rouen Normandie Rugby family is deeply saddened to announce the death of our dear Jordan Michallet. This terrible news plunges the whole club into immense grief. The management and the whole club join in his family in this terrible ordeal”

The opening half of the Norman club died on Tuesday after falling from a building under construction. The thesis of suicide is preferred.

Arriving in Normandy in 2018, Jordan Michallet had been playing in the Pro D2 club for four seasons. Having become one of the strong elements of Rouen Normandy Rugby, he had already scored 157 points since the start of the 2021-2022 season. In November 2021, the opener had also signed a three-year contract extension with the Rouen club. He had thus committed with the RNR until 2025. Born in Isère, the rugby player had been trained in Voiron before donning the FC Grenoble jersey until 2014. There, he had even played several matches of the Top 14. From 2015 to 2017, the former French youth international (France U18) then defended the colors of Bourgoin-Jallieu in Pro D2, before finally taking the direction of northern France and the RNR where he is imposed as the starter for the position of opener.

What a handsome man

In researching his likely cause of death, reports are that he crashed into a building with his sports car, then twenty minutes later delved from a fourth floor building, plunging downward to his death.

Very confusing; authorities are suspecting suicide.
