Video shows cars swept out to sea in footage that resembles Japan tsunami from 2011.

Another round of powerful stoms lashed Sicily today with torrential rain, hail and gale force wind. A state of emergency was declated in some areas as streets turned into muddy rivers dragging cars and debris out to sea. No fatalities have been reported so far.

I wonder how the pasta is this time year during this nasty weather.

Many years ago BBC and their respected commentator Richard diimbelby did a spoof report on April 1st on Today, a very serious news programme, about the pasta harvest in Italy. It was a sensation at the time and your post brougHt back many happy memories.

Strange how memory plays false. The programme was panorama and the item related to the spaghetti harvest in Tacino in Switzerland. However as an example of straight faced British humour at its best the broadcast was hard to beat.
It can still be found on you tube under BBC spaghetti panorama if anyone is interested.
