The musician Nino Vella, collaborator of many French artists, died suddenly at the age of 31 this Monday, July 1, his producers announced on Instagram.
“Rocinante and Sony Music Publishing France are extremely sad to announce the sudden death of our friend Nino Vella, whose talent and virtuosity were matched only by his joie de vivre and his big smile,” they said.
The exact circumstances of his disappearance are still uncertain. But, according to a relative, cited by Le Parisien, he visibly “died in his sleep, at his home in Paris”.
Nino Vella, a 31-year-old French artist, was discovered by the general public after his victory in the telecrochet show The Artist, broadcast on France 2 in 2021. He formed a duo with Sébastien Rousselet within the group Rouquine.
Nino Vella, originally from Cholet in Maine-et-Loire, is also a singer, pianist, composer and arranger in high demand, collaborating with great French artists. He has notably worked with Maes, Patrick Bruel, Olivia Ruiz and Eddy de Pretto
After a first album in 2022, Rouquine released a second disc last March, Mammieuse. The duo was to begin a tour in the coming months.
