The Croatian public has been shocked and saddened by the sudden passing of Ivan Čeliković, a former football player known for his time at Hajduk and other top Croatian clubs. Čeliković, who died at the age of 34 in Čilipi, leaves behind two children and a profound impact on several Croatian football teams, most notably Inter Zaprešić.

Čeliković, a left-back and midfielder, began his career in Hajduk's youth academy, playing there until 2007. He then went on to play for Konavljanin, Solin, Inter Zaprešić, Lokomotiva Zagreb, and internationally for North Macedonia's Shkendija. Recently, he was involved with the Football Academy Konavle.

Čeliković had also made appearances in European competitions, scoring one goal in nine matches. His last game was just a week ago for the lower league side Konavljanin, where he played against Gusar in early December, celebrating a 2:0 victory.

The cause of his death has not been disclosed.
