Meatpie, is it possible these images DR is posting of campaign contribution totals are phony? Maybe Chris is creating bogus screenshots to make it appear as if people are giving him money. I agree with you it is shocking. If the public in general has money to spend on entertainment, it makes no sense that it would all be going to DR. I don't get it either.

And yes guys, contribute financially to CDG if there's any way you can - we need that help both to generate the content that has to be paid for and to keep the site as free as possible for as many as possible - personally I've been more than happy to donate to keep us accessible for those who genuinely can't pay up for one reason or another.

The shocking part is that Chris wants $50K just to keep the forum "Ad Free & Running" with no mention of exclusive sources and content.

Maybe I am biased as I never liked DR much and would be grateful if someone can illuminate me on what is it exactly that people like so much about DR? :shrug:
 
Not really because I don't like it much myself. When I do go there I do find the occasional good male pics which aren't on here, which of course is why I do go occasionally, and at least there's not much overt homophobia these days which there used to be, but that's very faint praise!
 
I was wondering whether an action for breach of copyright might be possible. Snag is the cost of such action might be prohibitive and there might also be an argument that the acquiring of the material is itself illegal in thatvthe people who supply it to CDG are acting in breach of their contracts of employment in any event. Sad that other sites are then stealing it from you but I suspect it could be argued that the illegality in the initial,provision is sufficient to block any legal action.
I guess I've answered my own question.
It's pretty annoying though that your initiative can be hinjacked in such a manner
 
Last year we came to an agreement with DR team and they promised not to rip stuff from here but truth is you can't control each and every poster so occasionally pics do get taken from here and reposted.

What is even more shocking is that there are groups on social networks dedicated to our community where they discuss and repost from our threads. There is no way we could stop them, I recently joined onw such a group and I am just a lurker there.

I can't help but wonder why they don't just join CDG if they are so obsessed with the content here. We would be happy to discuss whatever interests them, and they'd be getting the information first hand, rather than having to steal it.
 
They have accounts here and browsing our gore section as we speak. Some DR members are friendly and I invited them here but others are here just to rip stuff and repost on their shit site then watch how everyone praise them for their awesome finds.

I think it's best to close our forums and turn into a pay site.

That owner Chris is one ugly motherfucker, I check out the site once in a while, mostly dead chicks if that is your thing. Boring site CDGs much much better:forum with coffe:
