On the evening of last Friday (July 11) a family tragedy frightened the residents of Rua Luiz Brás de Souza, in the Borborema neighborhood, in Serra Talhada, Sertão de Pernambuco, Brazil.

Gyslaine Borges de Souza, 24, had argued with her grandmother Maria Borges da Silva, 61, and, after a fit of rage, the elderly woman killed her granddaughter with knife blows to the neck.
