Looking at the photo you refer to, of the boy being carried away, I am thinking that, for the sake of realism, there ought to be more dirt on everyone's clothing. The very last image is also striking, of the boy collapsing, just moments after he was shot dead.

The one I've inserted above is beee-yuuuu-ti-ful! It's a dramatic scene, and the boy is so blond and German.

I agree that your choice is a good one! I never saw a weapon like the one lying across his arm. It looks like a grenade on a stick. I also like the fourth to last photo, with the dead German's head in the lap of the other fallen soldier.

World War II has come back to life, with the help of reenactors who take their hobby seriously.
