A councilman from the city of Duque de Caxias in Brazil 53-year-old Danilo Francisco da Silva and his son Gabriel Francisco Gomes da Silva, 25 were ambushed by thugs in a car in the Jardim Primavera neighborhood of Rio de Janeiro. The criminals opened fire and then fled. Father and son died instantly.
According to initial information, Danilo and Gabriel left a restaurant shortly before they were surrounded by the armed gang and had no time to react.
The motive of crime is still unknown.
According to local police Danilo was connected with the gang and was investigated in connection with homicides, being part of death squad, land grabbing, extortion and threat.
