This morning, the jihadists attacked positions of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Ivory Coast in Kafalo and Kolobugu in northern Ivory Coast, near the border with Burkina Faso. Three soldiers were reportedly killed and seven wounded in the attack. At least two militants were killed in repelling the attack
To date, no group has claimed responsibility for the attack. However, significant activity by Islamic State and al-Qaeda-linked armed groups in the region is known.
