A snow covered train alongside the platforms at Lienz station, Austria. Reports state that the large amounts of snow causing major problems in East Tyrol after up to a metre of snow has fallen since 30 January 2014 with valleys and roads are cut off.
Valleys in the Alpine region of Tyrol have been cut off as roads are blocked (left) while the town of Koetschach, in neighbouring Carinthia (right), is also suffering with snow reaching head height.
