23-year-old driver was involved in a head-on collision with another car he was not wearing a seat belt and upon impact the steering wheel got embedded in his face. CT scan showed fractures of the facial bones, including the zygomatic bones, nasal septum, upper jaw and both eye sockets. Both eyes completely destroyed. The brain was intact and the man remained conscious through the entire ordeal.
