He was only 24 and left a suicide note. He was a student in Moscow studying balistics and guns and stole a Saiga semi-automatic rifle from the university and shot himself.
He was a student of Moscow Bauman Technical University, one of the most prestigious universities in Russia. He taken his own life right at the yard of the main campus.
Poor sad boy -- he appears to have been handsome. The cops must have flipped him up into a sitting posture. All the blood on his leg and the ground was probably due to him originally having been bent over from the waist, head down. Unless he shot himself first in the thigh, and then in the head, which doesn't make much sense.
That's really sad, a good looking young man who had just qualified after all the hard work and he had all his life ahead of him. I wonder what he thought was so terrible that he decided to throw it all away.
Here's vid though doesn't show much at all. And a bit more info.
