Good evening,

After several members complained yesterday that some images from pixhost were not showing properly I can confirm that Pixhost went down today for everybody their server is not responding.

We will post updates when we find out more.

Meanwhile we can still upload to imagebam.com and continue to share stuff there.

Here's a test posting from the new site - assuming it appears OK then the site works, the only difference I've noticed is that on the new site you have to select between Adult and Family-friendly, wheas on the old site Adult was set as the default.

It's good I see your upload just fine.

Sweet selection of a test pic.

I like pixhost it's fast for me and I had no problems with their site until yesterday. Hope they are able to restore the old adress as well.

There's a few of him in the Khmer batch I'm working on. If they can't restore the old site, have we lost all the images on it?

Sadly yes we have lost thousands of uploaded photos.

Meatpie, no we haven't! THE PIXHOST IMAGES ARE NOT LOST! Click on the first 'x' of a post, or the gallery URL if the poster has given it- the pixhost.org filename will come up in the bar at the top of your screen above the 'Not available' page. Just change '.org' to '.to' and press enter or refresh, and the first pic will appear and you can then scroll through the rest of the gallery. How long this will continue I don't know but if anyone has a quiet Easter coming up, how about reposting your favourite Pixhost pages for us?
Meatpie, is it possible to devise a macro or something to do that automatically for all Pixhost URLs on the server? If not, perhaps some of us can co-ordinate a rescue effort - I may be able to put some time in on Sunday or Monday, in which case I'll have a go at the Hanging Collection.

Yes! But it may not last - the quickest way to retrieve the batch is to change the URL on the first pic, post the thumbnail, and leave the rest of us to scroll through the batch on pixhost.

I think it's best to wait a little longer see if pixhost are able to resolve their .org domain issue we should focus on finding new stuff.

It may take several weeks to resolve such a complicated issue.

Pixhost.org is not coming back

Good evening everyone,

I have more bad news tonight just talked with the admins of pixhost they confirmed pixhost.org is not coming back.
:th_smiley_eh:
It's been one blow after another for our community a lot of members are still confused about the domain change.

Thanks Meatpie - for the info if not for what it says.
So is it possible for you to digitally update all the all pixhost.org links to pixhost.to - it would solve s lot of frustrations and regain a lot of our archive if you can?
Or is it down to all of us to update the links on favourite posts - and post the new link of course!

We are unable to automatically modify all links to external websites.

We have confirmed that child pornography was uploaded to pixhost.org which of course got reported and they quickly got blocked. :unreal:

That's a shame. If I have time I'll retrieve some of the Hanging Collection mega-posts.

It will take a lof of your time move on from this and focus on finding new stuff.

Took me about an hour to retrieve the megaposts back to last November - now on to the new stuff as you say, oh Mighty One
