Now they're talking about feeding it because it's hungry.

The hitchhiker is taken to what seems like an abandoned factory...

The police probably stripped him so they could take a look at his red dick hair. It was just harmless and understandable curiosity on the cops' part, and they were able to satisfy their ginger lust by arresting the hitchhiker for jaywalking and then making him disrobe for a cavity search. That's all well and good. HOWEVER, the police really should restrict such behavior to their off-duty hours when they are driving an unmarked vehicle. People need to be able to trust the cops to be the good guys. As for the green blob that ate the hitchhiker, there's not much we can do about that. Blobs will be blobs.
