Right way round technically, but wrong quote, should be "If the thunder don't get you then the lightning will" - was that Grateful Dead?
A friend of mine c 1970 had that quote on his skylight, just below his rather tall chimney.

I'm aware of the Grateful Dead, but I'd never heard that particular line in anyone's music. The lyrics to rock music are so often obscure.

It's a song called The Wheel, by Jerry Garcia who was lead guitarist with the Grateful Dead

-hey metalmachine, his family was from Galicia originally).
Played by the Dead, but I remember it from Jerry Garcia's solo album

The wheel is turning and you can't slow down,
You can't let go and you can't hold on,
You can't go back and you can't stand still,
If the thunder don't get you then the lightning will.

Won't you try just a little bit harder,
Couldn't you try just a little bit more?
Won't you try just a little bit harder,
Couldn't you try just a little bit more?

Round, round robin run round, got to get back to where you belong,
Little bit harder, just a little bit more,
A little bit further than you gone before.

The wheel is turning and you can't slow down,
You can't let go and you can't hold on,
You can't go back and you can't stand still,
If the thunder don't get you then the lightning will.

Small wheel turn by the fire and rod,
Big wheel turn by the grace of God,
Every time that wheel turn 'round,
Bound to cover just a little more ground.

Deaddirty, you seem to be one of Wiki's biggest boosters. Do you make corrections to already existing Wiki articles? I'm sure there must be a great deal on Wiki that you know plenty about, more even than the authors of the articles.

No I've never tried to contribute to Wiki. In my experience hey are normally pretty good, in fact it's my first-stop go-to if I want to find out about something or check what I think I already know. Just occasionally I do think "Fuck, this is wrong, I know than they do", but normally that's because it's one of the occasional bad articles that slip through uncorrected.
