Evia has been plunged into sadness since the death of a 41-year-old man in a traffic accident, in yet another tragedy on the asphalt.
Specifically, the fatal traffic accident in which two vehicles were involved took place in the early hours of Friday at the 8th km of the Chalkida-Eretria highway, at the height of Vassilikos, with the unfortunate man losing his life instantly after the fierce conflict.
The driver of the second vehicle is hospitalized in critical condition
The tragic incident took place at 1:15 in the morning, with the information stating that two vehicles collided T bone resulting in the loss of one driver's life.
The unfortunate man seems to have been driving in the direction of Vassiliko, when he collided with an oncoming vehicle, driven by a 28-year-old man who was seriously injured.
The deceased was a famous football manager, that had recently taken up the local team. He had 13 children from 3 different wives. He was well known for his love of cars.
The night of the accident he was coming home from his birthday party. At the moment of the fatal crash he was speeding at 220km/h. His vehicle was a shapeless mass after the collision. His blood alhohol concentration was estimated as high as 0.3% (approximately 2 bottles of rum)
His family as well as the whole local community is devistated by his death.
