My ex was taken to hospital with pain, fever and genereal malaise.

They did tests and told him he had Hepatitis C which has damged his liver.

He is 24 and never expected anything like this.

Hepatitis C often leads to complications in later life including cirrhosis and even liver cancer.

He was devastated when I saw him today. I told him to pull himself together.

He said, "I am dying man".

"Are you afraid to die?" I asked.

It was a terrible comversation. I don't think he is going to die but the drug that kills the virus ribavirin costs 30,000 euro. It is free if you have a health insurance but because there are too many patients needing treatmen the government can't pay for all so they make lists.

He was scheduled for treatment in 2010!

So he called a friend in the US who will come to Bulgaria next week and give him money.

We can never earn that much in Bulgaria.

It's the guy I posted pics of naked on the table for you last year.

It is possible that I might also be infected.

The initial infection is usually asymptomatic.

get tested before you start killing others with it? ;o

Get it checked out NOW!, and good luck, even though you won't need it, coz you won't have it.

Hmm.. Hepatitis C can be spread through sexual contact? Interesting.

Can you get Hepatitis C from getting scratched from a rusty nail, or any other kind of dirty/rusty object? I had always heard you can get hepatitis from that happening, though I'm unsure as to which.

Good luck on your test, though, I'm sure you'll get good results.

Entilzha is right its transmitted by direct blood-to-blood contact. Chances are small you can get if from a partner if you wear protection.

He had surgery last year and his docs think thats how he got infected.

I know someone with that. He's fine and it's been over ten years by now since he learned.

hep c is manageable and he can live a long life if he takes care of his liver. no booze, drugs or fried foods for starters.

He smokes a lot and eats junk food.

Also lots of booze and unprotected sex with losers.

Are you infected teddy?

yesterday we went shopping, we spend 45 minutes looking for healthy foods....really got on my nerves

We used to spent no longer than 15 mins last year and buy sweets and booze.

He can't even drive a bike. :(

If he croak I will be more than happy to preapare him for funeral.
