A 19-year-old man was pronounced dead in a hospital Monday night after he drove into a tractor in Rougemont.
“The car was behind the tractor and for some unknown reason the driver hit the tractor, so hard that he was stuck in the car and the firefighters had to cut him out with the Jaws of Life,” said Sgt. Joyce Kemp with the Sûréte du Québec. The accident happened on Route 112 near Marieville at 10:40 p.m. Monday and the driver, who was taken to a hospital, died a few hours later, Kemp said.
