Six decomposed young men were found today in a rural area of the Barbascal sector, in the Colonche parish of the Santa Elena canton.

 


Another cabbie executed behind the wheel.

He was offed early Wednesday morning, February 18, 2026, at the intersection of 17th Street and 28th Avenue in Manta, Ecuador.

The man was identified as Rafael Acosta, who was shot multiple times while inside his vehicle. National Police officers arrived at the scene to recover the body and begin the investigation to clarify this violent act. With this case included the Manta district has recorded 72 violent deaths so far this year.
