Fitness Influencer and Bussinesman "Miguel Angel Aguilar" Killed aged 43

Popular fitness influencer Miguel Angel Aguilar has died at the age of 43, three months after being shot during an attempted robbery in Los Angeles, according to a post shared by his brand Self Made Training Facility on Instagram.

"We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our founder and CEO, Miguel Angel Aguilar. After a courageous three-month battle following the tragic incident that took place on September 13th, 2024, Miguel peacefully passed away on December 21st, 2024 surrounded by his loved ones," the post stated.

Aguilar and his wife, celebrity hair stylist Priscilla Valles, were confronted by four armed men in the driveway of their Bel-Air home during an attempted robbery on September 13. The fitness influencer was shot multiple times, including once in the face, before the suspects fled the scene.

Aguilar, who wasn't initially identified publicly, was reported to be in critical condition after the shooting took place. Self Made Training Facility confirmed that he was "involved in a serious incident" and "fighting bravely" in the intensive care unit in a post shared on its Instagram account at the time.

Three men have since been arrested in connection to the attempted robbery and shooting and now face murder, attempted robbery and assault with a firearm charges in relation to Aguilar's death.


Miguel was the founder of Self Made Training Facility HQ, a network that has more than 26 gyms in various areas of the United States, such as California, Arizona, Nevada, Florida and Texas.
The trainer and content creator came to have almost 50 thousand followers on his Instagram account.
As a result, he is considered a reference in the "fitness" world, at least in the English-speaking world.
