Good evening and welcome to our exclusive photo collection covering the Gaza−Israel War which started in October 2023.

On 7 October 2023, multiple Palestinian militant groups, primarily Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, along with other groups such as the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, launched a surprise attack on Israel from the Gaza Strip with a rocket barrage, and vehicle-transported attacks across the border on Israeli communities and forces.

In total, at least 2,200 rockets were fired from Gaza, causing hundreds of Israeli casualties and prompting the government of Israel to declare a state of emergency and war. The rocket attacks were accompanied by Palestinian militant infiltration into kibbutzim surrounding Gaza and the Israeli city of Sderot, with both Palestinian and Israeli media reporting that Israeli soldiers and civilians had been taken hostage.

Israel says over 250 people have been killed in the attacks by Hamas so far, which has been firing rockets from Gaza and sending fighters into Israel all day and late into Saturday night.

The violence has also reached the West Bank, where six Palestinians have been killed and 120 injured in clashes with Israeli police and settlers.
