Recent events around Rick's "death" may have shocked many of our users, or it may seem odd that we spent so many time posting about him then in a matter of hours there was a complete change of heart.
Shocking as this is, events like this one are not unnusual on internet forums.
CDG is a vibrant dynamic community and as the forum population gets ever larger things start to get messy.
We can't possibly be responsible for everything our users posts about themelves or others.
Sick people will come to the site from time to pretend they are someone or something they are not, this is a classic example of trolling and attention-seeking behaviour.
Such people thrieve on seeing their threads grow and grow and "feed" new material into the drama until if finally bursts and someone reveals their true goal and identity.
I will give you several example from ogrishforum, they have been online for ten years, I have been there every day for four years now.
- Couples have come together and seprated on the board which then got transferred in real life.
- Two people died as a result of horriic forum drama. Details are too long to give but this really happened, they were from the UK.
- Police were involved, moderators banned, elite members deleted.
The ogrish community is such a mess yet they soldier on together and are still online.
We are no different - we will have forum drama from time to time, this is just part of normal forum life.
If you have questions or want to add your own experience, please feel free to post, the thread is open for all who have an opinion on this.
Best,
