Fire in Dubai

I don't understand how this can happen. After all, the building's not made of wood. How in hell does the entire structure, from top to bottom, catch fire?
Shitty construction plus the phenomenon of backdraft really does spread fire
Speaking of "shitty", I remember reading that Dubai doesn't have sewers, so every morning tanker trucks have to come to each of the luxury hotels and collect the accumulated waste...haul it to some pit. This one that's burning now is sort of like a 50-story outhouse.
