Exactly ten years ago, August 17, 1999 I was unlucky enough to be on a vacation with my family on the Black sea coast near Turkey.

At around 3 am, in the middle of the night when everyone was asleep disaster struck.

I was on the third floor and the shaking was so violent my bed moved on the floor and bottles filled with water splashed.

I was just a teen back then and it was my first earthquake, so instead of going for the door, I went on the balcony to see what is going on.

People rushed to and fro, horrified. It was dark but the earth kept shaking violently for a horrifying 40 seconds.

Our hotel was not destroyed but we slept outside in blankets.

The earthquake was a strong one - magnitude 7.6 on the Richer Scale.

This clip is dedicated to all those who died lost loved ones and those like me who survived but are still haunted to this day.

Bent railway tracks show the exact place where the two plates slid.

Because God hates countries like Turkey.

Ahem.

Make your posts constructive and not racist.

Indeed :D

Well, sometimes you see the best and worst of people on Internet fora :D

To use fora when everyone says forums is hilarious.

Just ask google.

There are 3,720,000 entries for fora and 119,000,000 for forums.

Racist no...
I was saying.
Some higher power must have some grude or hate.
They get the worst disasters.
-shrugs-

That is the most retarded opinion I've read on this board so far.

Who knows what you will come up with next.

Rofl.
Of course, God hates the USA.
Its full of people like me.
Half the stuff you say is grotesquely retarted.

Oh, the agony you must be going through...

Enough of this...
