Humans will someday become immortal but what will necros do then?

Immortality in humans is an inevitable consequence of the evolution of the universe.

According to Biogerontologist Marios Kyriazis the ability to attain indefinite lifespans is inherent in human biology, and that there will come a time when humans will continue to develop their intelligence by living indefinitely, rather than through evolution by natural selection.

On the other hand our universe will have an end, so true immortality can never be achieved in our universe.

Imagine a world without fresh corpses, what will necros do? :totalshock:
 
Probably take a liking to people asleep, killed by accident, or even simulate with realistic androids.

I agree. Our brains are very sensitive to DNA damage that accumulates over time also neurons are extremely sensitive to lack of oxygen, 5 minutes without and you are brain dead.

DNA damage occurs in the heart as well so even if you exercise your heart will eventually stop and kill your brain.

We have to become cyborgs of some sort to overcome these biological limitations.
 
Well, I am sure by the time that happens humanity will have already spread across the universe and have identified more sophisticated and less sophisticated civilizations. I am sure those of us who are hardcore necros will just move to a less developed world where the dominat species looks human.

Another possibility is 3D printing. I am sure this technology will some day evolve to the point where it will be able to sorta "print" a lifeless human body.

Can you imagine you getting home tired after a long day work and then go to your 3d printer and print the body of Paul Walker or any body of your likking?

They say the technological singularity might occur by 2050, The possibilities are endless. We might even be able to use technology to create a virtual world where we can kill and play with whoever we want for as long as we want.
 
I don't believe in the technological singularity crap. Why Paul Walker? Is he the most handsome guy on Earth for you?

3D printing pretty much can duplicate anything a computer can scan. There are many youtube videos showing the potential of this kind of technology. The interesting thing is that some companies are already working on printing meat.
 
I don't find Paul Walker that handsome.

I think no computer or machine will ever achieve human ingenuity.

Also if we exceed the sustainable carrying capacity of the environment, and the consumption of strategic resources it will create a deleterious positive feedback loop that leads eventually to social collapse and technological retrogression.

I don't t think machine can develop human creativity, but I do think humans can become far more creative using technology and its ability to process tones of information in a split of a second.

The problem with the environment is that we still live in a system where the main goal is to make money. As a society we still do not use technology to improve the human condition. Technological advancement is a actually very dangerous to a capitalist society because technology leads to a more efficient use of resources and abundance. Kark Marx humself said a pure socialist society wold only worl in a technologically advanced society where technology was used to sustain society.
