A GOOD (Black) FRIDAY and Easter reflection
... April 6, 2012 AD

In reflecting on this day, Good (Black) Friday, how I understand the Big Picture is that WE ALL have fallen short of the glory of God. Each and every one of us.

For in this world, we are cast about between both The Angels and The Demons. There are many temptations, both temporal (of this place and time) and spiritual.

This CDG place documents first-hand many of the darker places in and of this world, this temporal sphere. Dark places and dark circumstances instigated by
very real dark, wicked principals (players).

So here IT presents itself on a day by day basis. And given our fallen natures, there IS a power, an affinity so to say, to LOOK AT IT and SEE IT, to even become excited by IT.

However, what we see here is by far NOT the realm of total existence. Yes, there is darkness .. yet there is also LIGHT. There is suffering yet there is also JOY. There is brokenness yet there is also HEALING. There is war yet there is also PEACE. There is death yet there is also L I F E .

Sooo what we see here at CDG is only HALF the picture. NOT the total tamale, so to say.

Good Friday which is also called Black Friday(today) in The Christian Church is the epitome of this great contrast. The tragic day that Jesus was crucified by the life-negating powers of this world. DEATH, DESTRUCTION, BETRAYAL, HOPELESSNESS, DESPAIR, TRAGEDY and DARKNESS is The Rule of This Day (Black Friday).

YET ... something HUGE happens in this narrative in just a few days hence. A massive transition, a mega change, "in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye" as it has been described in verse and in song.

Now the question I must ask myself ... WHAT AM I DOING HERE at CDG ???

It is my fallen nature. Yet the struggle continues, the sojourn slogs on, as THIS what is documented here is NOT the total picture. It just ain't.

There is yet another day. Today be BLACK Friday, a CDG kinda Friday. Powerful yet at the core truly TRAGIC and HOPELESS, really is.

So what else still is to be? I believe there will be a SUNDAY. A Good Sunday, a
Light-Filled Sunday, an uplifting and victorious Sunday, the FIRST Day of the NEW Week, of a New Beginning.

Friday will still be and Friday all who exist will experience. Yet there is also a Sunday, a Sunday, The DAY of SUN (light).

To walk more in The Light than The Darkness is the goal of the Christian faith. To be called to be a PLUS rather than a MINUS is what it is all about. And to ask for forgiveness all along the way, as a broken vessel, to see to be more whole.

The more such a walk into the Light continues, the more lit the path becomes and the more remote the darkness is. DARKNESS is still there, always is, and SO IS THE LIGHT.

I look forward to the day when I will NOT be here at CDG. I look forward to the day when there will be NO cause for a CDG as there will be no more death and only LIFE.

The slog continues yet the very fact that this discussion is occurring here is extraordinary and I believe a matter of looking for MORE than darkness ... in whatever way that may be described.

I invite you all to seek out more Light in your lives. To better know The Light as we approach The Day of the Sun, of a Risen Son, of Easter Sunday.
