Humans are incredibly stubborn beings, Japan has been seismically active for thousands of years yet Tokyo has grown into the world's largest metropolitan area with a population in excess of 32,000,000 people.
Japan has one of the largest nuclear power plants in the world, amazingly built several metres from the pacific ocean.
The Fukushima nuclear power plant was built directly on the beach like a holilday hotel.
Nuclear power plants are all potential time bombs, earthquakes and terrorism are a constant threat.But Japan is not the only earthquake-prone country in the world.
Here is an incomplate list of natural disasters waiting to happen:

- Cascadia subduction zone rupture will produce an event of magnitude 9 or higher with tsunami waves as high as 30 metres.
