Humans are incredibly stubborn beings, Japan has been seismically active for thousands of years yet Tokyo has grown into the world's largest metropolitan area with a population in excess of 32,000,000 people.

Japan has one of the largest nuclear power plants in the world, amazingly built several metres from the pacific ocean.

The Fukushima nuclear power plant was built directly on the beach like a holilday hotel.

:unreal: Nuclear power plants are all potential time bombs, earthquakes and terrorism are a constant threat.

But Japan is not the only earthquake-prone country in the world.

Here is an incomplate list of natural disasters waiting to happen:

  • Yellowstone supervolcano could wipe out half of the US when it blows,
  • Cascadia subduction zone rupture will produce an event of magnitude 9 or higher with tsunami waves as high as 30 metres.
  • Istanbul is doomed city, when the big one hits it could be worse than Haiti.
  • Indonesia will again suffer devastating earthquake and tsunami.
  • Chile will also see more earthquakes some as poweful as the 1960 Valdivia earthquake.
  • Kamchatka region also has the potential of a megathrust earthquake.
  • Japan will continnue to experience strong earthqukes.
  • Mexico is at risk of a devasting earthquake.
  • San Andreas of course, most famoust fault on Earth could potentially produce some major damage throughout California.
  • Southern Europe could aslo see a strong earthquake, Italy and Greece with high risk of strong earthquake.
  • Haiti will suffer catastrophic earthquake again in the future.
  • China still tops the list for the deadliest natural disasters in history and may well continue to do so as it is also an earthquake-prone country.
The lit goes on...feel free to add places that you think are the likely scene of the next major disaser.
