Those are some gross and fascinating photos! What did they do to his face, and why did they butterfly his legs like that?

Alexonedeath, in answer to your questions, the scalp has been brought down over the face to give access to the skull in order to remove the brain - I guess that it hasn't been flipped back to its normal position. The legs have been butterflied to de-bone them - there's a big need to have bones for transplantation. In these cases, all the proteins and other organic matter are removed and the remaining mineral structure is sterilized for use.
