Thousands of beautiful pine trees that take centuries to grow were burnt along with wildlife in a forest fire that is still raging out of control in Southern Bulgaria near the border with Greece.
Changing weather patterns due to global warming left the area without rain for two months making grass and trees dry and susceptible to fire.
No people were injured but several houses were destroyed.
It will take at least 50 years for the forest to regrow at least partially. Cause of the fire is unknown.
