Police confirm deaths after vehicle plows into people in La Rambla; public transport shut down in center Barcelona (Spain)
In an incident now being treated by police as a terrorist attack, a van drove into people on the La Rambla de Barcelona promenade in the Catalan capital on Thursday afternoon.
Authorities have now confirmed at least 13 people have died.
Some 20 others were injured, according to information obtained earlier from interceptions of police communications.
