Former municipal employee is shot to death by motorcycle riders
A former municipal employee in the town of Pilar was shot to death by motorcycle riders in the said barangay at 12:35 PM on May 22, 2017. He sustained five gunshot wounds to the different parts of his body, as well as to the head. According to a witness, they were shocked when they heard a gunshot and they saw a man named Crispin Tumagos Artuz of Brgy. Panilao, Pilar, Bataan, married with children.
According to the investigation, he came from Angeles City, Pampanga on a UV Express [commonly known as FX, it is also a mode of personal transportation in the Philippines aside from jeepney and tricycle]. He worked there as a driver. When he came out of the vehicle, he was riding on a tricycle while being followed by motorcycle riders, and when they arrived at a one-way road in Poblacion near the barangay hall, the victim was shot by motorcycle riders. The victim was able to run, however he was still being shot, [and] until he was laid down, he was shot at point-blank range to the head. After making sure that he was already dead, the suspects fled.
The police is still determining the motive for the victim's murder.
Recently, a married woman was shot by motorcycle riders at Roman Highway.
