Architect shot dead by a lawyer
An architect was shot to death by an at-large suspect inside his office at Leyte Normal University Tacloban City[, Leyte, Philippines] yesterday afternoon[, June 6, 2016].
The victim was identified as Architect Jess Archimedes Moscare, 50 years old, a resident of Brgy. Guinadapunan Palo Leyte perpetrated by an at-large suspect who is a Lawyer by profession.
According to Tacloban Police Station 2 chief PS/Insp. Edgar Octaviano, the incident happened yesterday at 12:30 noon inside the victim's office situated at the 2nd floor of the library building.
"According to our investigation conducted, the victim was then alone at his desk reading a newspaper when the suspect from behind shot him using a caliber 45 pistol."
PS/Insp. Octaviano added that the alleged suspect was captured by a CCTV installed in the premises as he went in the building where the victim's office is situated held along with him an envelope concealing a pistol believed to be used in the crime.
"As of now we have a possible suspect but we are still gathering concrete evidences to confirm if he was really the perpetrator."
The alleged suspect was also captured by a CCTV as he drove off a KIA Picanto bearing plate number AAE 4624 parked outside the campus few minutes after the crime happened and later on was traced, parked in front a residential house in Kassel City Abucay, however the alleged suspect was not in the area and believed to be hiding somewhere in Eastern Samar province.
Investigators are still conducting investigation to determine the motive of the crime.
Base on the records, the victim and the suspect has no personal grudges.
