Young man wrapped up in packaging tape

A woman saw what she thought was a bag of garbage last July 11 while walking along EDSA. Upon closer inspection, she saw that it was a person based on the victim's forehead and hair. Authorities soon arrived at the crime scene, and later found that the man was a snatcher. The sign attached to him reads "huwag ako tularan, snatcher ako, salot sa EDSA" (don't be like me, I am a snatcher, a plague to EDSA).



I would've taken him home all for myself. He had a beautiful head of hair, and maybe even a handsome face underneath all that tape.

Forgive my ignorance but what is EDSA and what is the definition of a snatcher in this context?
