A Florida man is suing a hospital after his amputated leg was thrown into a dumpster with his name tag still attached.
John Timiriasieff had his right limb removed from below the knee at Doctors Hospital in Coral Gables, near Miami, in October 2014, reports the Miami Herald.
But a month later the 56-year-old was left stunned when detectives knocked at his Key Largo home door to ask why his appendage had been found at a waste management facility.
They initially suspected foul play.
But it later emerged that, instead of incinerating the detached limb, someone at the hospital allegedly tossed it into a dumpster.
