As teen I watched a show called The Beastmaster and I remember drooling to these beautiful scenes, I wished the stud didn't survives these scenarios 
The scenes include almost deaths by giant hungry spider, pulled by the limb's, snake strangulation, boiling water, spread eagle execution, and vine strangulation. There's alot more in the series!
