The "Blue Banana" as its commonly known is the largest urbanized area in Europe and covers one of the world's highest concentrations of people, money, and industry.
This is similar to the US's East Coast or California.
The region has high living standards, modern industry and dense, modern infrastructure.
This makes more and more people from Europe immigrate to this region leading to polarization.
There is massive influx of foreign immigrants there too.
Rrural areas, remote towns, and Eastern Europe are caught in a vicious circle of depopulation and total dependence on the banana!
Do you agree with this theory?
