You'd have to be clothes at least with a loincloth to fight, and might be stripped when killed and dragged out bloody and naked to be dumped on a pile of gladiator corpses to be tossed in a pit and buried at the end of the day unmarked, forgotten quickly. As a Kelt I would hope to be sent in wearing at least a short kilt for my final combat.
